Kung Hee Fat Choy

Kung Hee Fat Choy = Happy New Year wishes to each and everyone. It’s not too late to make New Year resolutions as Thursday, February 7 marked the start of the Chinese New Year. To mark the occasion, Neville and I had a chat with Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica, His Excellency Chen Jinghua and Chinese Benevolent Association reps Karen Lee and Wilson Look Kin. We were also entertained by violinist Jessica Yap and a Lion Dance. Finally, we enjoyed traditional Chinese meals compliments of Shang Hai Restaurant.

On 10 Minutes to Your Health, we had a fascinating discussion with Mr. and Mrs. Reginald and Keisha Hird, parents of Jamaica’s first ever quadruplets and their Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr. Sean Wynter. We wish them luck and with four girls, they will need it.

It was a full morning, overflowing with guests and entertainment. But special mention must me made of our chat with Fitzroy Simpson, former Reggae Baller, (pictured) back in Jamaica for our first match with returning Technical Director Rene Simoes. He clearly missed the field and team. Just goes to show, you should never miss a moment of Smile Jamaica: Its Morning Time.
